![]() ![]() I updated quicktime, but one thing I found odd was that by default the new quikctime version installed using an installer downloaded from the apple website, by default installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime Alternative.Īs near as I can tell no one has installed QuickTime Alternative on the system and what I've downloaded very much appears to be quicktime, not Quicktime Alternative. I've begun encountering a problem with Avid which I have some reason to believe may be related to an incompatible quicktime version number with the Avid version being run. ![]() The machine is not mine, however I'll be operating it for some time and can fix issues for myself where they appear. ![]() It's a necessary requirement to run Avid Media Composer which is what the system has been built to do. So before it's brought up, let me start by saying I do have to have quicktime installed on the system. ![]()
